Winemaking: less is more

The personality and fine quality of our wines are result of winemaking methods and careful growing.

Respectful winemaking goes hand in hand with a winemaking method devoid of all restrictive measures. It has become the norm to let things shape as naturally as possible: indigenous yeasts and least possible human intervention. Each vintage represents an intimate meeting between man and a terroir.

Our range

Crémant

Tasting notes: :

Ideally Crémant is served when young, but can also be aged in the cellar for several years at a moderate temperature (10 to 15°C). We use Pinot Auxerrois to produce Crémant, which renders it delicate, versatile and well balanced. With its fine and light foam, bright and luminous pale golden robe the “Crémant d’Alsace” makes a great impact on both small gatherings as well as during distinguished annual events.

Food / wine pairing: :

Crémant is a sophisticated appetizer and an ideal cocktail or reception wine. Its mildly fruity freshness also enhances diverse gastronomic encounters all along the meal: warm or cold seafood starters, white meat to game and right through to dessert.

Pinot Blanc

Tasting notes:

Delicate and well structured, Pinot Blanc is ideal to get acquainted with Alsatian wines. Wearing a robe tinted with golden straw, it is dry, cool and thirst quenching at the same time. Thus it is an excellent choice as appetizer and can accompany an entire meal: it is pleasantly refreshing, full-bodied and flexible.

Food / wine pairing:

Ideal on all occasions where white wine is mandatory: country buffet, white meat, fish. Pinot Blanc goes very well with tender frog flesh and makes merry with a simple dish of fried fish. It can also be served with poultry and terrine of young rabbit.

Muscat

Tasting notes: :

This wine is specially admired for its bouquet. Charming, elegant and light, it is also one of the oldest grape varieties of the region. The northern latitude of Alsace has made it into a wine, considerably different to those of southern regions.

Food / wine pairing: :

This wine has a particularly pronounced fruity taste and gives the impression of crunching fresh grapes. It is a perfect choice as appetizer. It is widely popular thanks to its surprising aroma both in the nose and on the palate. It happily meets all requirement of an appetizer: opens up appetite, light on the stomach, and prepares one for the meal. It is highly appreciated with asparagus.

Riesling

Tasting notes: :

A beautiful nose of citrus fruit reflects on the maturity of this wine. It is long on the palate where aroma of ripe fruit blends in well with mellow acidity. The finish reveals freshness and a great balance in spite of its youth.

Among the superior wines Riesling is racy and dry. It is a perfect reflection of the Alsatian terroir. Rhine grape variety par excellence, its strengths are reflected by harmony between its delicate fruitiness, bouquet, body, and subtle acidity. It is considered as one of the most prestigious white grape varieties of the vineyard.

Food / wine pairing: :

Subtle and delicately fruity it goes well with traditional Alsatian gastronomy, seafood and grilled or poached fishes.

Pinot Gris

Tasting notes: :

It is strong full bodied and a noble wine: rich, ample and always dry: it has the best aging potential among all varieties of grapes. It being a fine and superior wine competes with the most prestigious white wines of France.

Food / wine pairing: :

It takes advantage of slow aging in bottle more than any other wine. At the height of its glory after five or eight years it surprises by its opulence and richness. It accompanies terrines, pies, pâté en croûte, and fish in sauce. It also goes well with Foie gras in terrines or fried in pan, raw or smoked fish and gratins.

Gewurztraminer

Tasting notes: :

This wine is a well-known specialty of our region, where this variety of grape has reached the heights of its aromatic expression. It is an exceptionally high quality wine offering a spicy bouquet.
